Chlorine, Ringpull et al
« on: July 12, 2010, 09:21:56 AM »
It's been a long time thats for sure. Of course I have no account to return to (as i probably sold it) but I see a few old faces I remember. Bert ofc, Collegien, Guddzilla (never forget you!), Congress (some armsman who didn't speak great english if memory serves) and possibly Ninja (if your Neil who once owned a character called GetUpFFS & worked at Santa Pod IRL).

So incase your thinking who the hell is this guy, I was a member of Primevil many years ago with loads of characters, the only 2 i remember are chlorine(infiltrator) who couldn't kill shit and Ringpull(cleric) buffbott. I had a couple of irl mates who had characters Drizzt (Shadowlords Society guild - the guild leader left to set up crossroad gaming, a gold farming company in the Far East) and ofc Grant, he had many characters all with stupid names but I can't remember a single one of them. He was actually the one who told me that you were still going.

So I got a few questions aside from the fact I can't remember shit on how to do anything in the game. Do I start a character on the server Ywain 1 and can all the Ywain servers (which I assume are all US based) interact with each others. You all seem to have characters on all the Ywain servers thats why I ask. Still thinking about what character to roll as a starter (any advice welcome), I'll catch you in game once I get my act together.

Regards, Norton.

ffs i typed a massive reply and firefox died!!!! NERF¬"!"

my last post said something like the following.

batten down the hatches trouble is back I take it all is good and that you are ok. I also asked if you have been playing any other games in the last few years and explained that DAoC imo is still the most fun game out there which is why it still chugs on...

server.
you can join any ywain server, as they are all linked however be advised that ywain1 is very full in housing so if you want a house choose another server.

class
if you have a bot then any class, however if you do not have a bot then a friar or scout would suit you best as they self buff... of course infs still kick ass and had some love last patch with new dots/dds but you would need a bot..

leveling
DAoC is no longer the pve grind it was you can solo to 50 in a week or get pl in a day.

Play
DAoC is like riding a dodgy bike, in the fact that you soon remember what to do after falling on or being handed your arse a few times.

whats grant play now, he still on WoW or what ever it was, btw my origional post was much longer but cba to type it again so if you have  any questions let me know.

Hello mate, long time no chat! come have a game I cant we play like back in the old days time wise but its still a good game to log on and have a good laugh and whine over... much better then that WAR & WOW stuff, coincidently I was looking through my minstrel stuff the other day and I found some crafted non sced armour that you crafted on Ringpull me and Dennis were reminiscingabout the old days haha.

Anyhow log in, always awesome to see an old new face hehe, and echoing what Dennis Said what is Grant up to now days we should get a PE old school Excalibur 2003 legends in game reunion, Mib, Greedy, Plucky... etc etc hehehe

Hai m8i sorry i missed you last nite    i saw   msgs  from Den  on msn  a  bit late.  Hope all is  going  well  with  you and  yours :)

I  still have  some  crafted armour  made by the legendary Ringpull too :)   I might even SC it  one  day :D

I dont get  to play as  much as i would  like  but  it would  be  great  to  see you  back in game  as  there is  no skool  like the old skool  :)

Will prolly  be  about a  bit  online today as i am  off, asking  my builders to  take  down the  summerhouse  they built yesterday and  rebuild  it  smaller.  Totally my  fault  mind. When i saw  it  it was  waaaayy  to  big  i was  gonna   get a small  family to move in it  but the  neighbours werent  too  impressed. :/

Ahh well  we  live and learn

Well thanks to you all for the welcome. Funny you still all got crafted armour by Ringpull.

After much deliberation last night (and prompting by Bert & Gudd) I've decided on a male saracen scout as my first character called Ringpull, highly original name I know !! I tried a few others out, this seems the easiest.

When any of you get a minute can you throw me a guild invite (Ywain 1 server).

Nice to be back btw, catch you in game ...

Was on last night and as luck would have it, I stumbled across Ringpull in Camelot Hills (I was lost looking for RvR!!- ffs can you believe it!!). Anyway we had a good natter and we both couldnt believe how bloody noobie we are now!!

We couldnt even remember how to add friends, and like I say, I forgot how to get to RvR!! Jesus christ........

..........I`m wondering if this is all going to be worth it, game wise, not mates wise. Its gonna take ages to get back into it I`m sure.

Had a quick chat with Hawk too, seems hes not in PE either yet. Need to get a guild invite sorted as I need a newbie crash course.........................fast  :-[

I was on yesterday, did a search for ringpull but didnt get any results....  most of hawks toonz are in the guild but he makes so many new one whos knows what he has..... tbh he could have invited you as at least 10 of his toons are all gm or officer status in PE but hes a noob still so we gotta let him off that one :P

ill be on from about 730 -8 ish tonight if anyone is about.

I'll be on tonight for a guild invite if thats ok from 7.30 pm onwards. I need to get levelling. Neil gave me a bit of cash so should help. Really looking forward to PvPing again as RvR seems very much alive considering the age of the game. Norton.
